In the Irish Shooters Digest I see Knocknagoshel Shooting Grounds advertising Fiocchi shotgun and rifle ammo.

Sound for that, must try them.

Got a price off a lad the other day and he wanted 10euro a box for 8's not ideal for shooting loads of pigeons at that price :(

They must be special 8's because I got 32 gram 6's last week for €7 a box.

    They must be :p
I like Fiocchi shells. I use 34 gram 7's, 6's and 5's. They work well for me.
Haven't let a pheasant by me yet anyway.

Jeffers in Bandon stocks Fiocchi shells. I bought 6's and 7's from him about 9 months ago. I think 8.50 or 9 euro a box?

Well the pheasant prob hasnt slipped away yet due to the shooter but good shells are a great help. Give more confidence imo!
Would love to get them at a 5'er a box for a slab, be some deal

I have to agree about the cartridges. I must a few pigeons when out with tack last week after changing to GB cartridges and now I'm questioning them and questioning myself and now thinking to much about the shot instead of just letting instinct do the job.
When you are happy with a cartridge and gun selection you rarely miss but its still down to getting practice.

I'm going looking at cartridges later so will get a price for the 34gr 6's and that will be a good indication/start point on what to be looking for.

does no one else think them fiocchi are a dirty catridge? the uncle uses them and i have the odd time and looking down the barrell after a shot its full of ****,then when cleaning after roost shooting or heavy day on game the stuff you scrub out is pure black dirt, i know dowlers in lisnaskea do them and they are dirt cheap (pun intended:D) 3 or 4 pound a box maybe:confused:

+1 on them been dirty. Have only ever used the trap shells but found them dirty and Brownings/ Mirokus don't like them. Had 3 shells in a box of 25 that wouldn't fire and that was with the top trap shell. Not a cheap cartridge (€225 /1000) Always see it DTL shoots. I stay away from them for that reason.

I found fiocchi a very dirty shell, leaving flakey deposits on the inside of the barrels.
Saying that it is 10 years since I used them.

Has anyone used them lately and looked down the barrel afterwards?

I have and as they are the only brand I've used I wouldn't know for sure, but it does leave a strong black residue after a few shots. I got them in Jeffers for double the 3 or 4 pounds Dupont seen them for
Going to try a different brand next time I go shopping :)

I'd worry that them flakes are acidic and will score barrels.

Remington and eley are very clean shells

I didnt find them too dirty, they are nothing compared to the filth that Hull cartridges leave behind

Was in a gun shop last night that deals in only RC's but managed to find 3 boxes of Fiocchi number 9's 32g's, dear at 8euro a box. Purchased one box just to see what there like, he said he might do me a good deal of I like them and order a slab

    Dropped a crow with CB's 5's @ 70 yards I think they are 36gram super express.
I never used them before this €8 a box in Jim Griffen
Have not cleaned the shotty yet though as I was planning a bit of early morning shooting but the rain fecked that.

I find them a fairly good cartridge for the price. a few of my pals and i have got together and buy them 5,000 at a time and we get them for 140 a 1,000. also its only a personal thing but i like eley olyimpics 28g 8 and saga 7.5's. its all a matter of personal opinion, buy a box of a few diff types and fire away - see what suits
