Just heard the trailer for the Joe Duffy program on the Ronan Collins show, they're going to feature a woman who went to buy a car and while dealing with the seller didn't he take off with the car and the money, it's at 1:45.

A Joe Duffy listener was ripped off through the use of deceit and cunning? Well I never.........

I was of the belief that his audience was of a higher mental prowess then the average common man.

Most likely the woman met the seller in a disused factory in the dead of night and went on her own with an envelope marked €10,000 in cash on the outside.

They are trying to blame Donedeal

It's a 07 MH 5752 VW Golf GTI TDI silver

Belong to anyone here? Could be stolen in fairness

I've heard of this scam before in England. It's a not a new one but "Jenny" feels it's donedeals fault.

In fairness to Donedeal I've always found them very good with dealing with these issues and helping out with people reporting suspicious ads

She said she did checks on it to verify the car. What doesn't seem to have been checked was the sellers address on the VLC to see that she met them at their registered address, then it would simply just be a case of calling the Gardaí to that address to recoup the money. Looks like the previous owner handed the VLC to the current "seller" and then the girl not verified this.
