New passport, how long does it take?

    Hi guys, how long does it take to get a new passport?

    Not much info online, and the Dublin and Cork office numbers are just redirecting me to a message saying they're busy... are they on strike again?

    Last time I used an post and it took 10 days... is this still the case?

    Yea, I think it took me about 11 working days back in May. I went to my post office and they did everything.

    1st google result for "an post passport" states:
    *Due to an increase in the number of Passport applications being processed by the Passport Office, Passport Express applications will take up to 15 working days until further notice.

    It seems to take about 12/13 working days at the moment, but the busy season is nearly over so should be back to 10 working days in a couple of weeks.

    Got my new one last week. It took 3 weeks from when I sent the form off - the 15 working days I was told it would take. No complaints! :)
