PCR 800 midi channel knob too loose

I use the Edirol PCR 800 to control a Roland Sonic Cell when playing with live bands, which is great and all but I have one problem with the midi channel knob in that it's too loose and hard to change midi channel fast in the middle of a song without going one or more channels too far.

Is there a way to assign one of the buttons on the PCR to change midi channel instead? I couldn't find any way to do it in the manual but if somebody knew how to that'd be much appreciated!

    cheers

Page 20ish of the manual looks promising, worth reading up.

It seems you can assign midi messages to buttons.

You can assign midi messages to buttons yea but I think it's only cc or note messages, midi channel is a different matter unfortunately, il have another look at that tho cheers!
