Anyone every try these pickups. I'v got them. But find it hard too get a good rock sound sound from them. It could just be the gear i'v got. It's the humbuckers ones

The JB comes stock in a lot of rock and metal guitars so you should be able to get a decent enough sound from them. My brother used to have them in an ltd V he had, they sounded decent but it wasn't amazing sounding either.

I've the hum-bucker in the bridge of one of my Les Pauls.

What gear are you using? Amps, pedals etc.
Who installed them for you? Are you certain that they're installed correctly and in phase?

Can you post a clip of the sounds that you are getting?

Assuming that they are installed correctly and working properly, it's not the pickups fault if you can't get a good rock tone.

I got the pickups done in curelys music store in liverpool.

I'v got a mg30. Boss ds1, And I use zoom 505. I know there not the best on the market. It was what I could afford a few yrs ago.

If I use the over drive on the amp the neck pick up Is just really bad. Its really muddy.

The MG30's more than likely the problem here. The marshall MG series are one of the worst amps I've ever heard.

Which model epiphone have you got? Neck pickups tend to be quite bassy anyways, but not with the tone knob wide open. JB's are really decent pickups.

I don't want to sound like a dick but that's a pretty bad rig. The MG series are famously awful, as are the zoom 505s. I'd suggest selling all that stuff and get a decent practice amp or small tube combo. Something like a peavey bandit, roland cube, blackstar HT5 or jet city jca20 will be a nice improvement and it won't really cost too much if you buy used stuff.
Also, neck pickups are kinda supposed to sound a bit muddy.

Try turning back the vol pot on your guitar if you feel its a bit harsh or toppy...

If you are sticking to the same gear then try the following and see if it helps your tone. I'd suggest not using the DS1 or the zoom and plugging straight into the amp. If you are using the overdrive channel then don't turn the gain up too high and don't turn your mids down too low, make sure you don't have the bass turned up too high either. That should help keep the muddiness down.
