I for one am not hungover and didn't touch a drink yesterday!

I was expecting to have a hangover this morning after having a bottle of wine last night but I woke up at 8am and felt fine. I did a session in the gym and I have mowed the lawn so far today. FEELING GOOD :D

I love them mornings, If I'm in a club the night before I'll often spend the last hour or two before going home drinking lucozades or anything else non-alcoholic on offer, otherwise you're begging for a dizzy head on the way home.

my hangover cure is a McDonald's large vanilla milkshake and usually whatever food I cooked in my drunken 'I'm Gordon Ramsay' state when I get back from town. I can't cook that well when I'm sober but gimme a bottle of vodka at 4am and ill whip up a feast.

    I don't get hangovers.:)

a bit, nothing that a day of bedrest won't fix. my outlook hasn't changed although I discovered the myth that mingers compensate by having a personality totally unsubstantiated. They don't.

I had a friend like that - he thought he could cook up a storm when coming home from a night on the batter. One night he put on the chip pan, fell asleep and ended up burning the house down - was lucky to escape with his life. The moral of the story: When you're feeling peckish after having a skinful, leave it all in the very capable hands of Ronald McDonald ;)

The upside of being completely skint and not being able to afford any alcohol yesterday is that I have no hangover today!

Wish I could afford to buy drink to cause a hangover......:(

Yep.. Hungover like a dog today.

Woke up this morning on a bathroom floor, went downstairs and didn't recognise the house, had to check all the rooms and then found this Belgian guy I know here. Massive flashback to a few of us buying a litre of vodka at 3am.

Already had one KFC today and considering another... I never eat KFC.

Have a slight hangover. Nothing a good feed and sleep wont cure.

Given the amount consumed last night, I didn't expect to get out of bed today. I could be a lot worse than I am. No headache, the nausea has passed, little bit woozy and dizzy but going to have a nice hot bath and some greasy burgers from the takeaway and I'll be fine in an hour or two!

ugh reminds me of when we get wine on the way home from town at 3am from this neat little place: €10 for 3 bottles. savage stuff too, but you dont wake up till the following evening.

Yes! My hangover cure is rashers in thick white bread toast, pint of coke and a take away that evening. Jaysus, i'm salivating at the thought of food.

Nearly 40% of people that voted are hungover,
    that's a fairly bad sign.

I can't judge at the minute, but still.

Didn't touch a drop yesterday! Mainly because i need the money for more important things atm! So no hangover for meeeeeee!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,419 ✭✭✭✭jokettle

No, but not for lack of trying. I'm currently transforming the one meagre leftover glass of red wine into a sauce to go with beef I bought earlier today. Nom.

Not today, i was in shreds yesterday though.

Not hungover! Thank God (or whoever)!

Decided to cut down hugely on booze a while ago so hitting the gym most days and not drinking much at all. Never felt better.

And yes, I do think I'm better than you hungover folk. :pac:

Was slightly hungover when I woke up first around 10 but stayed in bed until about 2, got up and ate a feed of eggs and rashers and feeling fine now.

I had my worst hangover in quite some time this morning. Had the shakes, pounding headache, and was sick more than once. That has now passed thankfully but been replaced by the fear of checking my phone for the many drunken texts that I know I sent.

    Yes.

I was hoping going training would help with it.

Word from the wise, getting punched in the head does not make a hangover go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Does anyone else think that the best cure for a hangover is a few drinks? There's nothing better than sinking a few whiskies and a couple of cans of beer the morning after the night before. Start with the whiskey first, and then ease yourself into the beer. It'll settle your stomach because you'll soon get rid of that "raw" feeling and it'll enable you to eat a healthy feed which otherwise you probably wouldn't be able to keep down. Then after your feed, continue with another few drinks.

I don't recommend this for the unseasoned drinker but it usually works for me ;)
