If you or I wanted to loaf around Amsterdam or Northern Spain, wouldn't we need money to get there, keep a roof over our heads, eat and drink there ?, the list goes on.

Ive wondered about this myself. I think he may be getting Irish social welfare and has been given special dispensation because the Garda can not guarentee his safety. TBH if he is then its probably a lot cheaper than spending money on 24 hour police protection.

Or maybe he owned property and sold it whilst he was in prison

The Indo said he visited the red light district of Amsterdam.

He should have been dropped off in Afghanistan in a Taliban controlled area in a US army uniform.

Lots of people visit the neighbourhood in question but not all of them actually spend any money there.

It doesn't necessarily take a lot of money to fly Ryan Air to Amsterdam, he could easily be paying that out of his social welfare. If he was staying in a five star in the Seychelles I might have questions.

I just find it's insane that he's even let out of the country. Not that we want to keep him of course, but it's hardly fair to foist him on our European neighbours.

No matter where he goes he is costing society a fortune. All his movements would have to be flagged and monitored by under cover cops.

They should send on a camping trip to Svalbard and leave him there.

I'd say he gives a fcuk because he and us are paying for it.

Just because it's tax payers money doesn't make it the business of you or I.

I don't go banging on my neighbours door demanding to see reciepts for what they spend the children's allowance on.

Some people need to stop reading the Sunday World...

there's a huge difference between what knowledge the public are interested in and what is in the publics interest to know.

Actually was doing odd jobs in spain-
    http://www.herald.ie/news/fear-on-the-streets-2661251.html
But he decamped to the Netherlands and later Spain, where he has been doing odd jobs for cash and working as a labourer while staying in hostels and cheap hotels.

One of the loopholes of been in the EU the free movement of EU citizens,i don't think the police can actually do anything since the crimes were not committed in another country?.

People really need to stop reading Tabloids, this type of crap wouldn't come up if people stuck to the broadsheets.
