    Hi,
Iv been using a Firefox addon, "video download helper" to save a few tech tutorial videos to my pc for offline viewing. As of Thursday it has suddenly stopped working and in spite of reinstalling a few times and even trying alternatives I cant save .flv`s to my hard disk. Anyone else notice this? I know Youtube blocked this in the past but workarounds were soon available.

youtubes used be cached to a /temp folder somewhere in Windows XP.......most of these addons just copy the cached video to a folder of yer choice......anyone know the location.

Try and update the extension. It's still working fine for me and they've just released an update that is compatible with the new beta updates of Firefox.

(Options - add ons - check for updates.)

It wasn't XP parse , it was the browser's own temporary files folder, the "Man" did away with that feature in the new 5 browser.

You can still download the old browser here, type about:cache into the big search box up beside your tabs there, hit search and a new tab will give you the location.

Or this add-on may be of use to you, there's a link to an updated version for Firefox 5 in the review section, I haven't used it though.
