They got a good deal. Its a nice straight looking car, would you not go for a 5 series bimmer as opposed to the 3 series. It wont cost that much extra and you will have a much nicer motor..:)

And dont forget the bmw is rear wheel drive and will do very different things in situations where the driven wheels lose grip compaired to the audi, not to mention everyday driving characteristics

Good cars. Had a 2011 320d the other day.I'm not sure what you're looking for in the power department but if you could go for a 325d/330d it would be well worth it. would be better equipped too most likely.

5 Series is a bit big for the 2 of us, I know its the same type engine as the 3 series but its a bigger car and a bit to flash for my modest lifestyle:cool:

It's a bigger shell and the engines are different well the diesels are, 320 is a 2.0 diesel and the 525 is a 2.5 diesel.

I would go with the 5 series the 3 is just lacking the big stance the 5 has, and that extra power although you would lose that because the power to weight ratio is higher with the bigger shell ..

The A6 is nice, would you not go for a newer a4 there pretty sweet ..

Petrol ? Only know about the diesels as a mate bought one recently. But seriously , buy a 525D . Wouldn't bother with a petrol. The diesel is quite capable of producing decent output.

520d = same engine as 320d. the 2.5l in the 525d was updated to a 3l a few years ago.

They got a very good deal. Considering it had the 2 grand leather option and service history they got a bargain. High miles wouldn't have appealed to everyone but I would have bought that at that price.

Yes plus the newer engines dont have the problems of the older 2.0 tdi engine.
