BTEA eligibility- help appreciated

    Hi folks,
    I'm starting a FETAC course in Sept (hopefully) but first need to be sure that I'm eligible for Back to Education Allowance in order to be able to afford it. I've Been on job seekers allowance for over a year now so there should be no eligibility issues in that respect (there's 9 month minimum i gather).

    The thing is that I've spent a year at third level (not in receipt of BTEA/grant) and have previously completed a FETAC 5 course also. Now, I've trawled through the subject on citizens information, and can't find anything in this scenario that should disqualify me for BTEA, but a few threads on here mention people getting nasty shocks with application denials and I really want to avoid that end. If anyone has been approved for the allowance in a similar situation or just knows how these things go down I'd love if you could help me out and put my mind at ease. I already have the cogs in motion with regard to securing accommodation for the year so any conclusivity on dis biatch would be amazing.:)

    On another note, I've read on hear about the fierce delays in application which depends on what part of the country you're in, what's the latest successful application you've heard of?
    Also is there an across the board standard rate of pay for BTEA?
