    Hi all,
Currently captain of my local society and have managed to get between €300 and €400 sponsorship.
Plan on having prizes 1,2,3, back 9, front 9, long drive and nearest the pin. Been looking online for prizes but the brain is getting fried!!
Have seen all the cystal before so would like to give things people will use.

    All help will be grateful.

It's been debated here a few times and generally vouchers or golf clothing or accessories that could be exchanged seems to be the best
I know we had electrical appliances
Like DVD George Forman Grill an one or two other items and they went down well too

    Winner stand bag €120
    2nd shoes €80
    3 wind breaker €50
    Front/back t-shirt 2 x €35
Long drive nearest pin box of pro v or best you can afford 2x €35

You've a nice budget there for prizes and actual prizes do look more presentable than vouchers for a captain's prize. Perhaps prizes the winners (top 3) can exchange if they wish given their value is the best option. The smaller prizes like front and back 9 and long drive/nearest the pin need not be exchangeable.
I'd agree with the above for the top 3 prizes but would be more inclined to have just a sleeve of proV or other premium ball for the long drive/nearest the pin competitions. After all they're just one shot and more for fun value than the value of the prize. Instead of tshirts also which will always be a sizing issue and people will complain of their colours something more universal may be better. Something like a decent hold-all bag or the like.
Depending on the size of the society I'd be inclined to have category prizes with or instead of the front/back 9 prizes.
