Chris is my favourite MSNBC staffer. He's an Irish, Blue Collar, Catholic union man and here he is at his best calling out the Tea Party yesterday...

    Hardball with Chris Matthews

Chris Matthews is the only person in the world who can make Fox news look fair and balanced. He may as well be an official democratic spokesperson. As for wiping the floor, basically all Chris does is raise his tone with his guests to make it seem like he's winning. He's MSNBC's Glenn Beck.

    He ain't Irish
    He ain't blue collar
and who gives a flying **** if he's a Catholic.

He came across as smug and arrogant in that clip.

Not a fan of the Tea party or Chris Matthews, but I don't think Matthews destroyed anyone in that clip. He seems to be blaming the debt on a few Congressional Tea Partiers drawing down their salaries.

Whilst I'm usually glad to be cheering Team-Catholic, is this the same Chris Matthews that was dismembered on the Daily Show by Mr Stewart in such a memorable fashion.

He gave it to the TP gook between the eyes.

He is of Irish, Blue Collar, Catholic extraction by the way. If that offends you then tough...;)

Probably, but maybe you are thinking of Keith Olberman. But Chris and Keith are the Sean and Bill of the left.

edit: actually i like that he actually got that question out of the tea partier, roll the clip to about 4:00, but the meat is at 5:00

and the tea partier there just... agreed with him about it. I'm kinda gobsmacked.

It is tribal to support him on the basis that he's an Irish catholic. Worse than when people vote for the local pothole fixer.

Fox business features many libertarians such as John Stossel and Napolitano. I am also a fan of Neil Cavuto. It is quite libertarian, in particular when compared to other American TV stations.

i thought libertarians were against foreign adventures involving the american military , fox news politics could be best described as neo conservative but occasionally posing as social conservative , of course anyone who observes other murdoch media outlets will know that T+A are a big part of what they sell so the social conservative cloak is a bit of a sham

Fox business is quite libertarian. Fox news on the other hand, is very socially conservative, though they made an effort in 2008 to get more democrats on.

I imagine this is because they only talk about, well, business, and fiscal conservatism can he said to be part of libertarianism. Bit disingenuous to call it libertarian if it doesn't address the social side of libertarianism

Napolitano and Stossel are known for expressing their social libertarianism.
