I'm in the market for a new laptop at the moment, nothing fancy mainly for email, browsing, watching the odd video kind of thing, but I want something that'll last a bit and not be a dinosaur within a year or two on a budget of around €500.

Was looking on dabs.ie and spotted this which seems pretty good value to me.

For €510.53 with free delivery you get...

    Core i5-2410M
    4GB DDR3 Memory
    500GB HDD
    15.6" screen
Intel HD Graphics 3000 Dynamic Video Memory Technology (I don't need fancy graphics)
    HDMI port
    Integrated Webcam
    DVD player

I spotted the same laptop on save on laptops website which seems to be popular round these parts for £499.97 here. Once converted to Euro it works out at €573.549 at today's exchange rate - substantially more.

It seems like pretty good value to me so I'm just wondering what the good people in the laptop forum think? Or is there anything else out there better value that I'm missing.

Good deal I think, doubt you could do much better for a similar specced laptop.
