changing tube amps (guitar)

    Anybody know anyone to go to to change the tubes in an amp head. I live in Thurles and there isn't many people i know who do this nearby. I don't mind travelling.

    Do it yourself! It's as simple as plugging them out and putting the new ones in

    It's not really, unless you're using the exact same brand and model of power-amp tubes, more than likely the amp will need to be re-biased or else they won't last long.

    As for the pre-amp tubes, just yank them out and stick in the new one's.

    I'd rather get someone else to do it cause I've no experience in it and I also want them to look at my friend's amp which completely blew a few months ago.
