Anything for a stay-at-home father?

    Hello all,

    Asking for a non-boardsie mate. His wife works full time, so he stays at home to mind the two kids. His JSB has ran out as he's been stay at home for just over two years.

    Wondering is there benefit that he could claim? He's based in the countryside of Galway if it makes any difference.

    if the household income is below a certain amount, Family Income Supplement & medical card. Possible JSA depending on a means test.

    exactly! i've never heard of housewives getting jsa/benefits?

    He could apply for Homemaker Credits to keep his insurance record up to date for Pension purposes:
