HELP! Corolla CD player 2005 not working

    Hi,
    Dono if this is in the right place as new to boards!

    Anyhow, I have just bought a 2005 toyota corolla terra saloon car (made in turkey) with 11k miles on it from an elderly woman. The car was rarely used and the cd player was NEVER used. The radio works fine, but when i go to put in a cd the unit shuts down and the radio/clock/cd do not work. When i disconnect the battery for 5mins the radio and clock work again but the cd player will shut it all down when i go to put in a cd again.

    Any idea how id get this sorted myself cause dont have the money for a main dealer job (as a student)!

    Just get one from a scrapyard
    Pre 04 are different. And from memory Turkish and japanese and uk are different, so get one from a facelift saloon 04-07 chassis number starting with nmtbm
