    Hi,
I am looking for advice on how best to run two sky digibox signals to a number of tv's in my house. I have it hooked up but am getting poor reception on 4 of 6 tv's. Heres whats going on.
    Digibox 1:
Connected to a nearby tv by scart( this picture is good)
Digibox also connected to rf modulator by scart lead. Coax cable out (on channel 36 of rf modulator) to second digibox's rf in slot.

    Digibox 2:
Connected to a nearby tv by scart.( this picture is good)
Coax out from rf out on Digibox 2 to 4 way Labgear signal booster. 4 coax cables leading from booster to 4 seperate tv's (including tv mentioned with digibox 1). These 4 tv's are receiving the pictures from both Digiboxes. The picture quality on these 4 tv's can vary from quite good(slight graininess) to non-existent.

Is there anything glaringly wrong in this set up? Anything that would easily improve the picture quality on my 6 tv's?
I dont get how the picture can vary in quality at different times of the day. The direct connections to tvs with scart have perfect reception all of the time.
    Any help appreciated.

Is there no RF out on this box?

What UHF channel does this box output on?

Are both boxes always switched on?

There is an rf out on Digibox 1, I had a different system running from this room originally, that box didn't have an rf out. I have now removed the rf modulator from the set up.
Digibox 1 is now set to output on channel 36 (was channel 68).
Digibox 2 is outputting on channel 68.
    No improvement in picture quality.
Could it be a poor or faulty booster box( are these also called amplifiers?)

Digibox 1 is always switched on.
Digibox 2 goes into sleep mode during the night, I always switch it back on first thing in the morning, but the signal from this box is usually non existent immediately afterwards and for hours after that.

The TV's connected by the scart leads will have good pics on the Av channel all thge time.

I'd try the simple things first. Check all connections etc etc.

Also, do you also use an aerial, if so make sure the RF outs are not set to frequency near any of the frequencies you receive through your aerial.

    No aerial in use.

Is the labgear amp plugged in or does it receive its power from the sky box? Try and bypass it to one room at a time and see if picture will improve, I would recommend changing the rf from 36, as this is a freq most commonly used for a vcr.

Labgear booster is plugged into mains.

Please tell me this is connected straight to the tv's RF in and not back into digibox 1 . . .

Yes, into the tv's rf in, not the digibox. That would be complicating things! :)

O.k., I tried bypassing the labgear booster, pictures on 2 of the 4 tv's were almost perfect. The other two were poor at best. Hoooked everything back through the booster and pictures are almost perfect on 2 tv's, quite good on 1 and poor on 1. Do I need a stronger amplifier maybe. Are the labgears rated as good or on the cheap side of amplifiers?
The labgear uses rf connections, not the screw on f type.

Labgear stuff is good stuff, are the connectors you are using good quality.

Did you take Steveons advice above and change from RF36......it's good advice if you using VCR too or anything like that
