    Hi All,

At present I have a UPC subscription of TV, Broadband and Phone. I want to drop the TV service and keep BB and Phone.

I have installed a dish, aerial for saorview and connected up a Humax freesat HDR and 2 technomate fta receivers, all working perfect.

Now, could I connect either the dish or aerial into the cable running to the existing upc modem/phone box and then split it back into the modem/phone and fta box?

In other words, use the one cable for the upc phone/modem and fta receiver.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    TC

No UPC needs a cable for itself as it will not carry satellite cables down the one cable without giving you problems.

    Hi T C,

could you let me know if the Humax Foxsat is saorview compatible with a 7 day EPG on both the FreeSAT Channels and the Saorview channels?

    Thanks

    Hi Splat_Mc,

Basically as far as I can determine, no with Saorview.
But it has the 7 day EPG with Freesat.

The reason is that Freesat runs off a dish and Saorview off an aerial and Saorview is not available on the Astra satellite.

I find the box great. It has the 320GB hard drive and the recording function works no problem.

If you want any more info, please ask.

    Cheers.
