I've occasionally turned on Walkers box to see future service channels 112 etc coming up . This despite having fully tuned in box. Any ideas please, I'm at a loss

It's tests on the second multiplex, it's not always on-air though so the "Future Service" channels will come and go.

Thank you for reply. Should I still be able to pick up channels 1-9 at same time. I don't seem to be able to

Can you check your system settings (when you've actually got a picture) to establish which channel & transmitter your system is tuned to. Might help establish where the problem could be.

Have you ever received the 8 Saorview channels?

What type of aerial do you use with the Walker receiver?

Mux 2 is testing with the Future Service channels, Mux 1 carries the the 8 regular channels.

It's been reported here that Mux 2 can be received easier than Mux 1 at times, it may be testing at higher power. Your aerial setup may not be good enough for the weaker Mux 1 channels.

    Apologies, I misunderstood your post.

Yes, absolutely you should be able to receive the regular 8 channels alongside the Future Service channels as they are two separate, independent multiplexes. Can you receive the regular 8 channels normally?

Also, do you know the Walker STB model number?
