Avoiding emergency tax?

    Hi all.

Started a new job on Thursday. My old job still owes me the final two weeks of money though, along with some expenses, so I've not received my P45 from them.

I would like to keep my P45 (with my old salary) away from my new employer if at all possible, so can the tax office sort something out for me, as well as being able to keep me off emergency tax for my new job?

Any advice would be fantastic, thanks :)

Ring Revenue and ask them to issue a Certificate of Tax Credits to your new employer.
Did you lie in your interview about salary etc?

Not lie, but I did play with the figures a little, including the business trip expenses and so on, which were outside my main salary.

I'll do that though, thanks for the advice :)
