Is the wording below normal for a commericial vechile policy ? Should it be for business only ?

Use for social, domestic and pleasure purposes. Use in connection with insured's business and use for towing (other than for hire and reward) of any one disables mechanically propelled vehicle. Use necessitated by the overhaul upkeep and/or repair of the insured vehicle for the insured. Use while drawing a trailer.

'Use in connection with the insured's business' covers you for the type of business you told the insurance company you're involved in.

However that clause is normally followed by 'as last advised by the insured', so if the nature of your business changes you are obliged to report it and they may accept or refuse to continue cover or alter the premium.

Use for social, domestic and pleasure purposes is almost always included, otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the vehicle to go to the shops or drive the kids to school.

Yes it's normal on a commerical Insurance policy....
Just make sure you tax it private if you plan on using it for personnal use. (Non commerical use)

Thanks it is for commerical use.

Thats the reason i asked as with the good dec form it says insurance musc be for business use only ( but i rang my tax office and they said the wording is fine )

revenue lost paperwork on me so i'll be waiting 6 to 8 weeks to tax but the policy i have will allow me to do it.
