This was long debated, because of the Shiite-Sunni rift, but now the US Treasury says they are working together.

Actually, this is not surprising, since Iran has been financing and arming Sunni Hamas for years. But still, this is the most serious and clear accusation to date by US officials as to the cooperation between Iran and al-Qaeda.

Hmm, are things really this bad for Obama that he's going to have to go to war to stay in power?

My thoughts exactly, apparently this is going to be a black friday. The markets have really reacted positively to the ceiling being raised, haven't they?

This is some hilarious nonsense right there. Al Qaeda hate Shia's, as we saw from the numerous attacks in Iraq. For the US government to make this claims, destroys whats left of its credibility. Sorry, but I don't believe a single word of the US governments claims here, especially considering past claims about Al Qaeda links to Iraq, that turned out to be utter nonsense as well.

Of course al-Qaeda hates Shias (and it's not as if the Iranian regime has many nice things to say about Wahhabism...); what Washington is saying here is that they both also hate America and are even willing to cooperate against their common enemy.

I highly doubt that to be honest. Similar things were said vis a vi Iraq, and I find this new claims equally hard to believe.

They want that country so bad they can taste it.

Perhaps it will fall into their hands like a ripe peach as Cuba did(nt).

If only that were true on a national level, unfortunately half of that country like the taste of blood too much to let a good war past them.

The US media failed the people of the US imo when it came to invading Iraq.

Iran funded Kurdish separatists in Iraq - despite the fact that Iran had its own Kurdish separatists. Dont put it past them

No. The markets tanked when they announced the debt ceiling was raised. They rebounded on the news by the Fed that they would keep interest rates low, and again they tanked today. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

The markets are futures. Nothing was cut in the "cuts" that preceded the lifting of the debt ceiling. Rather, caps were placed on future spending.

This second dip (on Wednesday 10/8) is concerning.

Max Keiser: A false flag terrorist attack will occur in the US in 3 months. (Precipitating in a major conflict in the Middle East--->WW3?)
