A specific brandname(s) show up at a specific place to let players try out new equipment. Typically happens at high end driving ranges and some high end golf clubs with good practice facilities.

Basically you just mosey out and can try out various equipment, speak to so reps and get some information about an item. Can be very good before making a purchase.

I forget the name of the driving range but I went to a Mizuno demo day and thats where I picked up my Mizuno MP30's, granted they were a big part of my game falling apart, I couldnt knock the assistance, service and patience that was shown by the rep I was dealing with.

Making sales at these days are a bonus its mostly to get buzz going and get you talking bout the newest thing

best place to go if you have a specific brand in mind.

did a demo day last month with callaway as i was looking at the new Razr irons.

they check your ball speed which is very important for the type of shafts you need, as well as ball flight & grip size.

you can hit irons, fairway woods & drivers to see what suits you most.

most pro shops charge 30e for the demo day, but knock it off the price of the clubs & you can also 'persuade/ask' them, in the event that you do not purchase clubs in the end, that you use the 30e towards purchasing in the shop.

you do not set the price in the demo day, as you deal with the pro shop that it is organised through.
