How safe is it to use proxies with Eircom? More specifically, ThePirateBay? I know, piracy is a crime etc.... , but could they actually find out? Thanks.

I would be very confident in it being safe once you run your torrent client through a proxy and it's encrypted. Of course this would need a very high bandwidth proxy that you would have to pay for.
