I'm after finding a kodak instamatic 255x in a brocante sale in France and I want to see if I can get it to work. According to the internet, it takes a 126 cartridge which is 35mm. I know nothing about cameras, so if I find normal modern film thats 35mm, can I still put it in this and would it work?

I saw that but I've no 126 cartridge to begin with unfortunately :S I'm trying to avoid taking film in and out of the little canisters too because I'll never be able to develop them.

I can't remember the web site but there is a place online that still sells 126 film. It is NOT cheap as I recall.
