    HI,
I think this had the potential to be a great photo but it just looks plain to me.
    1. What could I have done different when taking it (settings etc.) It's a bit strong on the blue I know.
    Exposure 0.01667 sec (1/60)
    F-Number f4
    Focal Length 17.01 mm
    Exposure Bias 0

    2. Could anyone improve it with post production and tell me what you did?
    Thanks,
    Pa.

Sorry, what I meant was a snapshot of 'old Ireland' I suppose. I've been trying to capture some photos that are the generation from another era if you know what I mean.

The First one looks to have focus issues
did your hand shake a bit when you took it?

The second one is a lot better
    nice idea.

If you're going for the 'Old Ireland' theme why not try and mess around with sepia tones and noise and that, I've been messing around with that lately - kind of like this (hope you don't mind me re-posting your photo)

I'm sure you can easily get a better effect than what I've done here.

First thing I'd do is fix the distortion. It's a bit too noticeable in my opinion (the edges of the shop are so close to the frame of the photo that the distortion is noticeable straight away in my opinion).

Out from that, I'd also suggest some colour fading, sepia, added noise, perhaps, to give it an old-time feel.

You have no Depth of field, foreground or background to play with. The photo is very 2D in my opinion (if you know what I mean?). If you could re-take it from an angle, perhaps standing more to the right of the shop and use a wide aperture to blur the flowers on the show window or such, but then I don't know what the place is like so I'm not sure if that'd work, either).

its late now or id have a go myself, but i would greyscale map, then bring back the blue, get rid of the reflections in the window, add a vignette, probably add some kind of texture layer, and sort out the distortion. :)
