    supposing........
    If a yearly quantity of coloured & county tags were given out by the npws to help police and ranger the sport how many would you request on licence application? (section 32" aside).
    I would request 3 kills.......... (I cant do those poll things)

    P.S colour would change yearly to prevent accumulation.

    tags ..why?

    there might be a case for tagging in Kerry
    in this part of Galway we have many many fallow
    - could not shoot enough of them

    thats the right attitude to have ya wont have to many soon enough if ye all think like that in your area

    where i live its been slaughtered by by both hunters and poachers
    not half as many about now as 3 years ago

    CJ your point holds little water as the npws could just impose an outwrite charge on the licence anyway but they choose not to. personally if the tag system were to be intoduced a charge on the commericial profiteering which is widely evident (again outside of crop damage) could be curtailed with charges imposed on > than X amount of tags requested/provided i.e first 7 tags no charge................If this funded a nightshift ranger in Dublin/wicklow alone it would be progress.

    do you think the people who own the land who have to account for every move of stock like to see deer everywhere? easy preach when its not your land, and a hunter dosent slaughter

    Even 15 or 20 tags person would be fine, its the 50 0r 60 a year guys who are doing the damage.
