I am at the later stage s of completing a mortgage approval.

I need to take out Mortgage Protection/Life Assurance with/without critical illness cover.

Anyone got any ideas on who is best to deal with in terms of package / peace of mind / price.

Because there is no real answer, you will just have to try an insurance broker to get some quotes, everyones circumstances can be different depending on age, health, smoker or not, there are too many variables.

What type you go for depends again on all the above and on what you are prepared to pay per month and your attitude to risk. Some people like lots of insurance, pessimists like me, others take the bare minimum to cover the banks requirements convinced nothing will ever happen to them. Who is right? Only time will tell.
