iphone frozen

    Hi all I was trying to carry out a software on my iphone. My phone has frozen and all I have on my phone is an Apple logo with an empty status bar. How can I restart phone. Also when i reconnect phone to itunbes it cannot recognise phone.

    If you google the term - iphone frozen - you get 22m pages! Its a common enough thing that Apple lovers seemed to have been ok to live with for years.

    Press the On/Off and home button at the same time. Hold for up to 10 secs for a reboot. Just like a PC - wot!

    Now use this scare to backup your iphone.

    I have already had 2 major hardware failures - I hope its not that!
