yes, and x400 is probably one of the better chemicals to do it with but it wont really help that much you need your system powerflushed.

If you are going to get someone to powerflush it get the to use X800 it's even better.

With a machine that is connected to your system with a chemical in it.

As above, and it'll most likely take about a days work to do it. If you get it done, be sure to have an inhibitor like fernox added after too.

How much should this cost (Power Flush) I am based in Clare so who should I contact for this.I have just one radiator which is not heating properly so would it not be cheaper just to hose it out.

yes it will always be cheaper to hose 1 radiator out but doesn't mean it will fix it and it wont improve the other radiators. what if the blockage is in the pipe into the radiator but not the actual radiator?

if you work off a rule of thumb of about £25 per radiator your not far off and remember to count the hot tank and towel rails as radiators.

If a system is heavily sludged then power flushing is always the way to go, if a system is starting to show signs of sludge then fire it up with a system cleaner and once you feel the bottom of the rads reaching the same temperature as the top of the rads then dump the water, refill heat up again then dump. Do this two or three times then refill the system and add a good dose of inhibitor.
