Make up brushes

    Hi all,

Just wondering does anyone have any recommendations for a good make up brush set? I generally just apply make up using my hands but sometimes use a foundation brush. Looking to broaden my collection and a cheap (ish) set would be ideal.

    Thanks :D

If your looking for something cheap then try the elf studio brushes 4 EUR each and sometimes they do a deal where they are half price. You can only get them on the elf website though.

I tend to mix and match, as I've never been happy with every brush from sets I have gotten in the past. I remember finding the Bobbi Brown blusher brush rough, but her large powder brush is soft as a feather. I recently picked up a few brushes in Hairspray and found their quality to be really really good and for half the price of some of the bigger make-up houses.

I got a few Ecotools brushes recently (concealer and eyeshadow ones) and I find them pretty good. They were 7 euro each I think, which is cheap enough in comparison to other brushes.

I really like my Ecotools brushes, especially blush brush and eyeshadow brush and I've had them awhile now. I've heard good things about e.l.f. as well but never tried them. Things like Mac and Bobbi Brown are really good as well but much more expensive!

boards ate my post :( (prob my fault)

ELF recommendations - studio powder (for foundation), studio complexion, std line eye blending, mineral powder. Studio C eye good for eye primers but useless for eyeshadow

Sigma brushes ok for money but not as good as MAC

Ecotools are the way to go. You can get them in nearly all Boots pharmacies and they are in green packaging. I recently got their retractable kabuki brush for using with bare minerals and it is really soft and I have not experienced any shedding with it yet. It was about 16 yoyo's, which I think is a biiit expensive for it compared to their other brushes but I think it's worth it.

Their eyeshadow brush range does not look that big, only 2 or three, but they are around the 8 euro mark and look lovely

Well, so far so good with the "MAKEUP GEEK" brushes. I used them last night and it felt like sheer luxury to me, compared to the brushes I am used to (an odd collection of superdrug/catrice/other fairly bland brands). These are far superior to those and no, no hairs have falled out yet, but admittedly this is only Day 1, lol.

The only reason I am passing on this link to you guys is because I am SICK of over-paying for products in this country!!!!!

These brushes are more than worth the money I paid, they are lovely and the delivery was both cheap and fast.

I will come back in a month or two and let you know how they are going still.

    :)

By the way girls, just noticed the DOUBLE BEAUTY BLENDER sponges are sold out, I hope that is because you all ran there and bought them, lol.
The single beauty blender sponge for 16.99 (AMERICAN DOLLARS) is still on there though!

    Happy Shopping!

+1 for eco tools. They do the job esp if you don't want to fork out. YOu can buy individually or in a set.
