Wanted to back in the NZ v Australia rugby Tri-nations game on Saturday with Betfair. It was the total points market. Lodged money into my account just there and was told that i need to transfer it into my Australia Wallet to place the bet?? Read that i cannot withdraw from this account unless ID checks are done which sounds like a lot of hassle.

Anyone ever use this account and withdraw from it?

You have to do ID checks to withdraw from the main Betfair wallet aswell so you'll have to do it anyways now to take out the money you've already lodged. You just have to upload a scan of your passport or driving licence or you can use your credit card and make a deposit and verify it.

If you want to back any event in Australia which is on betfair you have to use the Australian wallet because of Betfairs Australian licence, this includes horseracing, cricket and I think F1. You have to go through a stricter ID test on the Australian wallet I believe, not sure if you have to provide the ID before you can even bet on the Australian wallet, I decided it was not worth the hassle for a few bets.

Rang them. You need to send copies of numerous things like passport, license, copy of the visa card and other stuff but the crazy thing is you need a letter signed by either a doctor, solicitor or guard so fcuk that. Way too much hassle so be advised do not transfer cash into you Oz wallet unless u like getting ur head wrecked
