worried about friend

Hi a friend of mine told me when he was 21 he met a girl on fb who was from the states and became close friends.He told me they had an intimate sexual relationship,very personal pics of sexual type where exchanged then he lost contact with his friend.He told only recently thought about this girl but now was scared to think she could had been 16 or could had been 18 but was not sure of her actual age since he cant remember the time or dates when he spoke to this person or even remember their name.

i asked him about pics,he said they where deleted and nobody saw them.it was about trust.sometimes tells me hes paranoid of the police coming after him after all these years,im not sure since he told me they never even met.

is there any advice can give him?.

So long as it was just between the two of them I don't think he needs to worry about the police coming after him.

Tell him to be a lot more careful about who he gets involved with on line in the future.

How did he have an intimate sexual relationship with someone he never met?

Whats the question her, did he have sex with a girl who may have been underage?

Or is it that he received photos of a girl who may have been underage?

hi thanks for replies, @magic,yes photos,but i don't think he could had been that stupid,im sure he was thinking the worse scenario,told me this was years ago when happened.

Does he have the same computer all these years later? If not, what's the problem.

no he hasn't,just want to clear confusion up,he thinks this person was 18 but not sure,ive told him not worry if he deleted straight away and told him to be careful in future,i take note what's said here and pass it on,thanks for help.
