Puerto Rico - Gran Canaria

    Hi

I'm looking to go to Puerto Rico Gran Canaria in sept with my gf. I'm wondering would anyone have anywhere to recommend to stay.

We are looking for a basic place which is relatively cheap. More importantly we want somewhere close to the beach and close to restaurants/bars.

I'd appreciate if anyone can recommend somewhere. We're after looking through loads of places but finding it harder to know if they are in good locations.

    Thanks!!

If you're looking cheapish then consider the Maracaibo. It's only a 2 star but it's not bad, they've done it up over the last few years. If your budget can stretch a bit more then look at the Marina Suites and the El Greco.

All three are close enough to the beach.

Virtually all the restaurants in PR are in one of two shopping centres, the main centre is a 5 minute walk from the Maracaibo and El Greco, 10 mins from Marina suites. Loads of bars to choose from, most in the Comm Centre as well.

We stayed in the Terrazamar last year, it was pretty decent considering the price. It's about a 5 minute walk to the commerical centre. Importantly you can get an elevator all the way down which is a big help in a place where almost all of the accommodation is up a hill.
