Is the 3DS worth getting yet, I interested in getting a 3ds but the only game I am interested in that has been released yet is Zelda. Is there any good games coming out soon for the 3DS

Well at least wait until the price drop ~August 12th lol. Here's a run-down of the IGN's most anticipated games for the 3DS : http://ie.ds.ign.com/articles/113/1130209p1.html . Personally I'd wait until 3 games you really wanna play are out.

    ^^ that list is :
    Pilotwings Resort
    Papermario 3D
    Prof Layton
    (there's a Prof Layton & Phoenix Wright cross-over coming)
    Starfox 64 3D
    Metal Gear 3D
    Kid Icarus
Resi 3D (wait for the review - saw gameplay yesterday, wasn't blown away)
    Animal Crossing 3D
    Zelda : OoT 3D
    Mario Kart 3D

Is there a way to see the Nintendo eShop without owning the device. I'm on the fence about getting one but want to see what games are on offer online. Also, can you purchase a Nintendo equivelent of PSN cards or do you have to use a credit card?

The online store really is a nice addition. But it's just that - an addition. I wouldn't be buying a 3DS for that service at all. There's very little on offer at the moment other than some original Gameboy games, the odd gameboy colour game, game and watch stuff and DSiware.

I see what you mean, the update for the store today is pretty bleak:

So basically it looks like a rehash of older games. Nice one Nintendo, will be waiting for some original content before splashing out on this one.

It's extremely frustrating. I'm itching to throw money at this console but there's nothing worth buying.

Why don't you want my money Nintendo, why??????

So I bought my 3DS yesterday, mostly because I just wanted something to do during the day when I'm bored. So I've been playing around with it and heres my thoughts:

The design is really nice fits into my pocked no problem and looks cool.
I've been playing Zelda on it, it runs really well, not a fan of the 3d as it hurts my eyes after like 30 mins but I didn't get it for the 3d anyway, but if I wanted to turn it on or off theres a switch beside the screen so I can do it in a second.
It's comfortable and the screen is nice and sharp.
The eshop is pretty bare atm but so was the playstation store when that first started so it's really just a matter of time before they get more titles up on there which is something to look forward to.
The interface is easy to use, the 3d camera is pretty cool and the fact that you can do stuff like video chat and stuff is awesome.

I got it for €175 with Zelda plus I bought pokemon white which is another amazing game. The way I see it if I get at least 175 hours of entertainment out of it it's money well spent and I've no doubt I will. I was one of those people who thought it was rubbish but I had a PSP and didn't like it that much so I went for it and now I love it. Probably the best thing I've bought in a while.

3D works perfect, i was able to play it for 1.5h with no paints etc.

If people need to ask if a console is for them, they should leave well alone to avoid disappointment. Only buy a console if its for at least three games you really need to have!

The 3DS in my view is an excellent console. The 3D is superb, the controls and basic graphics are excellent, and the limited range of software is better than a lot of people give it credit for. I'd recommend it but only to people who are geninely interested in the games that are there.
