This is on rte at 8 tonight.

I am betting that the majority of them have not lost any further weight and have actually put weight on.

Particularly that whingey young one from Cork (Emily??). I've no idea why she was picked as a leader

The whingey one was from Kerry not Cork ;) She is still fairly lumpy after 6 months of dieting and excercise. She has inspired her whole family to diet with her  What happened to her auld fella as he hasn't lost any weight but they did show him eating healthy brown bread  When the camera went off him he must have dived for the white bread.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if leader Jayne is appearing on the catch up?? I'd followed her and would love to know how she's getting on but there's no sign/ mention of her in the promos

They seem to be doing two different contestants every week.

According to the OT facebook page Jayne ain't taking part.
Aileen Safefood Hi there, well spotted. Jayne continued to work on her diet and lifestyle but at the time of filming the follow-up shows she wanted to focus on her family and studies. She decided not to take part in filming this time round.
    August 4 at 12:52am.

Does that mean she put on all the weight she lost? The only contestant I thought was any good and made any effort was Ronan, all the other were just jibbering head wreckers constantly cribbing and crying about the task at hand. I can't understand why some of them signed up for it in the first place but then I guess makes better reality tv than someone who is going to give it their all.

She was on Facebook.. A relation of hers was on the Kildare panel a while back, and she was friends with a friend of mine who was on the panel last year.. But she appears to have deleted her account now.. not there any more.

I feel for the people going on the show because they're trying to do something postiive, and granted it a treat to have a nutritionist and personal trainer at your side, but for the most part these shows overwork the participants far too much exercise wise and I think it can be very offputting. In the Biggest Loser (and taking into account that the majority are morbidly obese) I still think they focusing on losing far too much weight far too quickly rather than creating healthy attitudes.

Yeah I don't think this happened with OT. Tbh I think the leaders could have been pushed some more: most of them were still quite rotund by the last show.

They had lost between 0-8lbs over the last six months which is **** all tbh.

On O.T. they werent very happy when Ronan lost nearly double his target one week.
