Ok, so I have a HTC wildfire and I trying to put music on it. I am using my home computer (Windows XP) to connect the device using the usb lead and whenever I connect it, the wizard pops up to install the device and tells me to insert an installation disc or select install automatically, I select this option as I was never supplied with a CD and it ends up with not being installed successfully as it cannot find the necessary software.

Now when I go into 'My Computer' there is no new device, sometimes there is though like an E drive but when I click on it it says insert disc.

    Can someone help me pleeeeeease???

Connect to the computer, pull down the notification shade and you should have something there that allows you to select as Disk Drive. Pick this and it should show up as a drive on your computer. Then you can just create a music folder and drag & drop

    As Mega Chin says.

If you prefer not to drag and drop, you can download Doubletwist for free to your PC, and it will sync songs and playlists with your phone, similar to how itunes would sync with an iphone/ipod
