    Hello all,

I'm just looking for a bit of information on a career in accountancy.

I'm thinking of registering with Chartered Accountants Ireland. Does people do this during the summer?

Is it difficult to find a company to take ya on a training contract outside of Dublin?

For an accountant is having a language like French an advantage down the line or do the Irish accountancy bodies only have agreements (if that's what they are called) with anglo-saxon countries.

    Thanks

Your qualification is recognised in the EU/EEA. If you want to practice in your own right in one of these countries you normally have to do a few hours multi choice exam to show you know the local rules and that is about it.
