    Hi

Have a dell adamo, thinking about getting PhotoShop, just wondering if the laptop would be up to it?

Dell is 2gb ram 128ssd dual core processor.

Would it be able to run it ok?

    Thanks

2GB is a little low, will work but not ideal.

If its a fast dual core then it'd be ok, but if its a sh'tty old 1.16GHz then dont bother.

    It says 1.2ghz
Would it slow the laptop down if I put it on it?

It will be frustrating at times but if you have no other processes running alongside it, you should manage photoshop... But the processer you have is quite weak tbh

Photoshop is dominantly RAM intensive. CPU work mainly comes into rendering and such and GPU used in h/w acceleration.
In your system the RAM is the bottleneck so look into upgrading to 4gb + (should be an option to consider in general use anyways, 4gb will give a noticeable performance boost to everyday performance).

If you are only doing light-moderate image work with it, it should run well within your needs with 4gb RAM. The SSD will certainly be a noticeable advantage in photoshop and shouldn't be underestimated.

Id also consider downloading GIMP as an alternative to test the waters in the work you plan to do.

It all depends on what you're going to be using photoshop for. I use it a little bit, and i can get by on pretty much any machine. But that's because i wouldn't use it extensively, and just do some basic fixes on it. If that's all you're going to be doing it would be grand.

You can install the trial version of it and see. It wont slow down your computer unless you're using it.

Yeah, if you're editing low res stuff you could get away with it, but try applying a filter to an 12MP image and it'll die a death.
