To be honest with you, I just went through eiretyres for your size, and can't see anything reasonable enough for less than 100 per tyre.

Maybe get smaller rims with higher profile tyres. That might come cheaper.

With 205/40's I'm going to guess you're not exactly driving anything slow so I wouldn't recommend putting cheapo non-brand or Chinese tyres on (I wouldn't recommend doing so on any car, but less so on something that's liking to be doing speed).

Do you really need to replace all 4 tyres?

Well I am selling a car part tonight so I have another 200 to spend now. So the kitty is about 380-400..

And yeah it's an Evo 4, If I had my way and or money I would get the best sadly I don't and the tyres on it are absolute rubbish at the moment and I am trying to fix it within budget ASAP.

Well the ones at the back are rubbing there 215/45/17 and then the ones up front are 215/50/17 then there is an odd one to the side 205/40/17. Dunno why the old owner has it in this situation. So I have been advised the tyre I need is 205/45/17 to stop the back from rubbing off the arch as it is too wide.

Not bad bit out of my budget. The budget is just for the tyre, I am paying for fitting and balancing and tracking out of another 100 I have..

You've got 3 different sizes of tyre on one car?

I've read good reviews on these.

    Reasonably priced.

    3 different sizes on a 4wd car isn't good.

I'm sure you know that though.

    Vectra, I am in Dublin.

My mate reckons the Toyo's are good value for money? I am going to be ordering them tomorrow, by the looks of things. Eiretyre orders there stuff from camskill and add's a few euros on ?

Stick with Camskill. They do a VAT discount too. If your VAT registered.

I highly recommend Falken ZE-912, theyre a middle of the road tyre, wear well and are quiet in comparison to a lot of other more expensive tyres. East Coast alloys in ardee sell 215/45/17 size for €79 fitted which is an excellent price and you wont find them anywhere else cheaper than that. A mate of mine who owns his own tyre fitting place says he cant even buy them wholesale at that price.

I highly recommend them, i know its a bit above your budget but theyre worth it. TBH for your budget your going to end up with the cheapest tyres available and cheap tyres are usually noisy with very poor wet grip. For the sake of another 80euro i'd go with the falkens.

East Coast have an ad on donedeal >>> http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/carextras/1976326

That seems like a decent price I have to say. Might give them a shout, is that including fitting and balancing ?

Falken FK452's seem to get alot of good reviews

I wouldn't skimp on rubber when you're driving something like an Evo.

Personally I'd be wary of maintenance if I bought a car with 3 different tyre types and if they were rubbish as you say.

From what I have read , Falken and Toyo are great grippers but wear out a bit quicker than expected

I would suggest these as it is what I will be using on my car when the time comes,
They come highly recommended by several suppliers

I've bought the same size from this crowd

    http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/17__Toyo_Tyres.php

for me in 09' it worked out at €155 for two T1-R Proxes including delivery
best quote locally for the same tyre was €150 each minus fitting

Delivery was about 36hrs after ordering,
dates on the tyres were as new as you could get so they haven't been on the shelf for years

says they've an agent in Ireland, but it was the uk store I dealt with via ebay

Cool car btw, the IV and the IX are the only ones that would tempt me

    Went for the Toyo Proxys

300euro in the end, not bad and have heard they are a decent tyre.
