Have a look in the service book, it'll tell you what needs doing and when.

Spending twelve quid on a Haynes Manual if you haven't done it before.

When was the spark plugs changed last time? There's no need to change spark plugs as often as oil.

Is there any reason for changing of fuel filter? If no problems encountered, I wouldn't bother changing fuel filter.

Make sure you change cabin filter though.
As well check your coolant freezing point, and if too high, change it.
The same with brake fluid. Check boiling point, and if to low, change it.
Usually you should change brake fluid every 2 years.

If you have history of what was previously done, work from that based on intervals as indicated in your service book.

i dont no when the spark plugs were last changed but the car feels jumpy so people have suggested to change them and this may solve the problem?

no particular reason for changing fuel filter just going to check it and maybe change it

thanks for replys any more info welcome

there is a very good thread on how to service a car yourself here

and if you are going to jack up the car to get under please get a set of axle stands and don't just use the car jack.

Have a look here, there's already a fourm for it. I used it yesterday to service my car. Cost me less that €40 and took less than 1 hour.

oil and oil filter are the main ones, maybe fuel filter depending on when it was last changed. given how cheap you can get cars serviced now, especially with the likes of deals going on dealpages.ie Id question whether its even worth doing yourself anymore!
