They limit your account till you verify a credit card, then you get a €4000 limit.

After that you apply for a raise if I remember correctly. If you're buying large items(upwards of a grand) then start using wires instead of paypal.

You can change your IP by using a proxy BUT DO NOT USE PAYPAL OR CREDIT CARDS VIA A PROXY! You will get your account and your money stolen and chances are neither paypal or the bank will refund it due to it being your own bloody fault.

Why one would need more than 4K is beyond me though....

Recently happened to me, I was selling a RIC badge on Ebay for a friend and it was quite hefty pricewise. It pushed my account into being put under review as it had exceeded the amount. Found it quite irritating but they removed the lock after about 3 days after submitting the various pieces of documentation.

Paypal are not silly people, I'm guessing you're both using the same CC yeah?

If so, it wont matter about IP, even if you werent your address would be the same? In any online trading multiple accounts usually means rogue/spammer etc and so is discouraged, there would be no point in lockdowns if you could just use another account. Paypal keep control of their business, there's little point trying to con them.

The solution is to get your brother to sort his sh't out and have paypal release the accounts.

Really, one household should have one paypal, thats how my brother and I operate, its pretty simple to manage unless you have regular inward payments. Its simpler to keep a lid on things that way.
