Hi i dont know if this is the right place to post so please move it mods if its not,, but i would like to know what i can do legally in relation to my childs mother?

I informed her weeks ago that i was booking a 2 week trip for me & my son back to Glasgow to see my parents & other family at end of august.. it was only after i booked it that she asked what dates it was booked for & it turns out the dates i booked means he misses 2 days of school & so she is now refusing to hand me my childs passport.. which incidentally i paid for in full.

Added to this she also sent me a text last night saying that she has me up in court in October for "hitting" our child .. which is of course a lot of nonsense ..in fact my child has been with me here since saturday & ive never struck him in any way nor has he ever made these allegations ,he actually cries when he has to go home & always wants to stay longer.

Anyway i was wondering what course of action i could take here..she has threatened to take me to court on various occasions for maitenance etc which i would quite happily do, as at the moment we cant reach agreement on this, but she has never contacted me through offical channels to do so.

My son is 7 years old & i moved from Glasgow to see him grow up as my ex moved home to have the child here & then decided to stay here & split up from me . any advice & help at all would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Speak to a solicitor. Any other advice you get here should be ignored as you cannot seek, nor should you rely upon, any legal advice garnered on the internet in such a serious matter.

I'm sorry that you find yourself in this situation but if you feel this might get contentious then speaking to a solicitor about your options is infinitely preferable to getting opinions here.
