This may be a very stupid question but here goes anyway. Is there a means of testing how well the brain is absorbing protein?

    Thanks.

The quick answer is that the brain doesn't absorb protein.
Protein in the diet is broken down into its constituent amino acids, and then they get absorbed into the bloodstream. These amino acids are then built back up into proteins where required.
    (This is somewhat simplified)
