Satsklep - A warning.

Just a heads up. I am having real problems with Satsklep. I got a Cyfra card from them last week and have been contacting them repeatedly about activating it. At first they ignored me for a while but then I emailed everyones address I could find on their website and got a reply. First they asked for my card number, then they ignored me some more before telling me the card number is not on their system. I emailed them a scanned image of the invoice and card and they still won't entertain me. It now seems I have paid nearly €200 for a card that won't work.

I have another thread going about this but I thought I should start this as more people might read this title. I bought from them last year and they were grand and I know a lot of lads have bought from them too. Just thought ye should know.

Strange one. I've generally found them to be ok with stuff like this. Some names are better than others, and I have found that sometimes something can be left go for a few days and require a follow up email. The response you describe is unacceptable though.

Have you phoned them? At this point I would do that. I had to phone at one point to clarify when I had purchased a Polsat card and cam. Most have decent english and you might get a more direct response over the phone.

Yeah - might just give them until tomorrow and then try phoning them. Hopefully I'll get something sorted before the season starts.

Go for it! You are talking about 200 euros, so it should be sorted before kick off.

The girl in international sales is supposed to be very helpful.

I too had some difficulty contacting them last year via email. After many frustrating emails they eventually sorted me out.

You have to phone them - I emailed them a couple of times (one responded to over a month later, the other not at all. However, they were very responsive when I spoke with them. The dedicated English number just rings out, so I called the main number and asked the guy who answered if he spoke English. He sorted my problem out straight away (card stopped working after 3 months and he sent something down the satellite link to sort it out).

I used to deal with Joanna. Never had any problems.

I'm surprised at this as they have a very good reputation.

She is on maternity leave until early 2012 - could have something to do with the responce issues.

I needed a re-activation as i had not watched any cyfra channels in a while, emailed them last night and was replied to swiftly this morning telling me to swith to tvpinfo for reactivation, did as told this evening and entitlements updated pretty quickly (using Azbox with latest openxcas/multicas with original fw)
Very happy with the service from satsklep:)

Is Satsklep offline? Can't seem to reach the site today. Also, what's needed for Cyfra+, just 13e and a cam?

Yeah, I was trying to check a price earlier and it's down alright. (Edit: actually it's loading on the pc..it wasn't on my iphone this morning)

13 east, and a cam or a suitable receiver that will do the job.

Likewise. It works on my computer, not on my iPad or iPhone. Odd.

Which Cyfra+ pack is best? I only want the sports, not anything else. Not too fussed about games so long as I can watch Norwich games. :)

Sorry to stray OT a little OP.

If it is 100% only the sports and specifically only the EPL, then i suppose you only need the Canal+ Multipakiet one.

You could add other options, such as Eurosport 1+2, Orange sport etc on other cards offered by Satsklep but none of these will give you more Premiership. Eurosport 2 is showing german league in HD and in english at the moment though!

Norwich will be a tricky one. Canal tended to focus on the big names, so i think if its Norwich v United, you're sorted..if its Wigan v Norwich..you're out of luck.

No Norwich next week either. on Cyfra.

I actually might just leave it and keep the Al Jazeera pack. If there was a pack out that guaranteed Norwich games every time I'd go for it.

No idea which package would though... sorry for straying OT.

I don't think you'll find a cost effective solution. The likes of Abu Dhabi Sports show everything, but huge dish required. Sky Italia with Calcio would show more 3pm games than Canal+..but still no guarantees on Norwich games.

Your best bet would be tring sports. English commentry. Show Early game Sat. , 4 3.00pm kick offs, and late game on sat. Show games on sunday and monday night too.
Make sure you get the Tring PLUS card (Plus is important) as this card has the sat 3pms x4. It will set u back circa 250 stg.

Need 1.1m dish pointed at 16deg east.

Having read bad reports about picture quality, i must say i was quite surprised at how good it is.

The 250 gets you sports, 4 movie channels, MTV vH1, Nat Geo, and a few drama channels most with english audio.

    Up coming games:

Do you have the Tring plus card this season givecredit? I'm hoping to get my system set up soon and get this card and the Al J card too. I've heard of problems with the 3pm games both this season and last and was just wondering if you had any experience with it.

    Thanks
