I had my interview for full time fas course, and without counting my chickens, if i'm offered the course i will be offered the FAS training allowance, and travel allowance (23miles from centre).

This is prob a daft question : Do i fill out a grant application too?

Currently i am working 30 hours and in receipt of OPFP and ends meet, but i am terrified that i won't be able to make my rent, buy food as my understanding of the amount of the FAS allowance and travel allowance will just about cover my loan and rent payments.

I tried the local Community welfare Officer but to no avail ( come back in sept!) I currently don't get any other welfare/ rent allowance

Can anyone please advise me/ point me in the right direction

    Thanks

education grants are not given out for fas courses

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
