I understand that DIT offers the only marketing degree in all of Ireland, and has a pretty good reputation inside Ireland. Does anyone know how well it would do internationally? Its hard to say as I dont DIT is not internationally accredited :S

    Thanks

Hey I just finished first year marketing.
DIT is actually quite well known both in Ireland and around the world. It is the only marketing course in Ireland. It covers wevery type of marketing available so there is plenty of choice when you are deciding what type you want to major in. In third year you have the option of taking part in an exchange programme where you can study abroad for the first term of third year. You can study in Austrailia, America, England, France etc. The places for the exchange programme are allocated based on your results in the first term of second year. The classes are quite small which works great as this is a course where you need to interact with the lecturers for example you may have a class discussion with the lecturers over what a symbol on a sign means or having the lecturer demonstrate how to create your own website. That is possibly the main reason why no other college e.g. Trinity has a marketing course as there lectures have over 200 students per lecture whereas DIT has a maximum of about 40 students per class. It would not work for a marketing course to be thought amongst 200 students at once as the lecturer needs to interact with the students as much as possible. It is accredited worldwide otherwise it would not be allowed to be part of an highly accredited exchange programme with other top colleges or universities all over the world. I hope that answers all your questions. If you have any further questions feel free to PM mail. :)
