Planning Permission when on Social Welfare

    Hi all,

Hope I'm posting this in the right place! Just wondering if anyone could help me out with a query I have. I am just out of a college course and while I sort employment may need to apply for social welfare to get me on my feet until I get sorted.

As I have a rough plan of hoping to get building underway within the next two to three years and as the planning process tends to be fairly lengthy particularly in my area, I just want to get things underway and initiate the process. If I am receiving any sort of benefit, is this likely to affect my chances of attaining planning permission?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

No, not in the least. The planners do not take into account your personal circumstances.

However it may look a bit strange to a SW inspector if he seen your name in a planning notice in the local paper.

Planning permission has sfa to do with your financial circumstances? It's a good idea to get this organized while you have the time to do so now in anticipation of a future time when you can follow through.
