I was there.Overall a great show.Good Venue, well organised for a first attempt. The show was very spread out so you could easily not find some parts of it.
Some parts of the show were outside the show barriers(ie the public carparks)I diden't realise they had Supercars until i bumped into a friend that told me where they were.
I was on the hunt to buy a Classic car.I knew there was a sales area somewhere. When i eventually found it ,it was outside in the Public carpark.
Overall i had a great time and spent five hours at the show.I left early but would guess there was traffic chaos trying to get out of the show(just guessing)
Very well done to the organisers and i hope you're back next year.
    Sorry,i forgot the Camera.

Yes it was a good show, enjoyable day out for a tenner. The traffic jam leaving was chaotic from about 4pm onwards. Apart from the delay trying to get out of the car park, the traffic on the road southbound to Kerry got well backed up.

There were plenty of classics but there could have been more clubs there. A few lovely Mercs and MGs, and a few cracking 60s Ferraris.

    There's a thread in motors:

I cannot understand why we can't get this right here. I was at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Nurburgring ( German GP ) and from entering the car to getting to onto the main motorway we never stopped once
at either event - and both would have in excess of 60k people at them all travelling there by car.

Yet here - if we get 20 folks in a field together there is utter chaos !

I was there as well - it was a good show I think and I hope it continues. Great venue.

As for the traffic - we can't get this right in this country because of bad planning of our roads and towns in the first place. In fairness in the UK you probably leave a show ground and get straight onto a motorway. In Adare you leave Adare manor and land straight into the town which is a bottleneck on any day of the week. I wouldn't lay this blame at the organisers feet.

As for the show - it was great to see a bit of action around the sprint track.

I would agree that it would have been better to see a few more car clubs exhibiting - very dissapointing for me for example not to see a Jaguar club there -bespecially given the 50th aniversary of the E-type this year (nice to see the E-type roadster displayed at the entrance though which I assume was a nod to this.) But it was the first show so maybe next year word will have spread that it is a step above the usual classic tractor fest :D

The other annoying thing is that a lot of the exhibitors cars were leaving around 3pm onwards - what is it about Irish shows??? Everyone seems to run out the gap at 2-3pm. Sunday afternoon seems to me to be the ideal time to attend a show but for some strange reason Irish classic car owners seem to be afraid to be out after 4pm?? Is this just me that feels like this?

Brilliant day .. from start to finish.. The traffic at the end was not the organisers fault.. Impatient k**bends blowing horns did not help either ! Some b**lbag in a 10-D Q7 decided to jump the queue as he was more important and was promptly collared by the feds . Nice one !

I had my old car with me and was promptly directed to the Classic car park near the gate..

Myself and missus had a fantastic day - just flew from 10-5.. This show will only get bigger from here on.. It was really well organised.. Just shows what can be done outside "The Pale" ;)

I really want to thank the 2 fellas who gave me a psh-start after I left the coolbox plugged in and ran the battery down !

The father was there and said the same about Irish shows!

I was there, had a great day out and look forward to next year.

A marshall said hello to me as I was walking past and I quickly said hello but didn't recognise him, wondering was it someone on here? Anyone I asked doesn't know him...

I know that the Irish Mini Owners Club (all classic mini's, no Bini's;)) enquired about attending but were told that all club space had been already allocated.
There seemed to be plenty of room for a few more clubs within the main show perimeter.
I also felt that there could have been a bit more activity...i.e. a Trials bike display (a wrecked car and a few pallets would do for obstacles) and maybe a Super-moto could do a few laps.

@limerickman , that wouldn't have been a fairly heavy chap with an orange hi-vis that saluted you? He was on the road where the cars were lining up for the start of the sprint.

Nope, a man in his 60's (I hope not to insult if he's younger) with a grey beard in a yellow hi vis!

I normally arrive at shows early and leave early(3pm ish) to avoid the traffic jam getting out.
I always pay to support the Charity involved but am not a member of any car clubs.
I go to enjoy the show for myself not to provide a car for the show organisers to make a profit on(ie charging people to look at my car)
If a show has rules in place that do not let you leave before a certain time i would park in the public carpark in my daily driver car or not attend the show at all.
I really appreciate the effort show organisers put in and attend as many as possible around the country.

Limerickman , that sounds like Dennis Hogan one of the main organisers and a very friendly fellow.
