Im having trouble tuning in some channels on my tevion hdsr 600. I'm missing bbc3 bbc4 c5 more4+1 itv4+1 cbs reality+1
I have tried re-tuning the dish with no success and the blind scan doesn't do the job either. I brought my sat box to my mates house who has these channels and ran all the scans and it didn't pick them up there. I don't have any signal on frequency 10773, quality and level is 0.
    Please help.

Tell me , from the frequency range between 10.714 H up to 11.680 V are you getting any channels/any signals at all?
go to your installation/antenna set up menu and check that the LNB power is set to ON, also check that the LNB LO frequency is set at 9750 and the LNB HIGH frequency is set at 10600, if your box is showing different, put the numbers i just gave you in.
Also check that you are scanning Astra 2 and not Astra 1, it's a common mistake, you would not be the first

All the numbers you have said are ok in the settings and i am defiantly running the right astra scan. what has just come to my notice is that every second frequency seems either to have or has no signal. example 10714 no signal
10729 has signal 10744 no signal 10758 signal 10773 no signal 10787 signal and so on until the blind scan frequencys kick in and they all have signal.

What I would do is delete the problem transponders, and do another auto/blind scan. If it's a software glitch, the rescan should find them again.

There was a similar problem here before, link, but there doesn't seem to have been a conclusion.

Eliminate interference from DECT phone (although I think it's higher frequencies that are affected). After that, maybe try adding a new satellite, and doing a fresh rebuild of 28.2E, and failing that, maybe a factory reset.

Most of those channels should be booming in on a half-assed alignment. The CBS Reality +1 channel could be down to half-assed alignment though, as it's on 28.5E.

Hey, pnpweirdo. Sorry for your troubles. Think I'm going through the very same scenario but can't find the paperwork that came with the receiver. do you have contact details for the UK center or who ever dealt with your problem? Cheers.

Hi the details are pete gray, philex Electronic , Philex House, Kingfisher Wharf, London Road, bedford, MK42 ONX, United Kingdom. Ring 1890 812 721 and tell them your problem. Also tell them you lost your manual, which contained a report card you need to fill in. I found them to be very helpful and they sorted out my problem. Best of luck

Hi, I'm having the same problem, how did you get on, is all working ok now?

Still not sorted but mostly my side as I actually have two problems, first the receiver and secondly the dish. Eventually got sky out to fix dish, which I had to move due to trees. They wanted a small fortune to come out and after a long argument and my threatening to cancel subscription, they came out for no charge. Turned out LNB was dodgey and now replaced. Had a feeling this was the issue and wanted it sorted before sending back the receiver. Talked to Philex guys and they suggested that I might be tuning in at the wrong time of the day as BBC3 & 4 are only broadcast after 7pm. but no joy and have received an email from them to say send the box back so packing it up today. Fingers still crossed.

Just rang there and I've to send my box over to them too. Good to see they're not ignoring the problem anyway.

Hooks this up a few weeks ago, and after a week we lost film4, film4+1, more4+1, horror channel and a couple of itv +1 channels.

Last week we suddenly lost the stream-0 - 5 channels. They have the BBC red button content. No wind that day, it didn't deteriote, it just disappeared.

    The streams are on 12441MHz, 27500KS/s V

However today I got another freeview box from my brother and the streams don't work on that either, from that transponder. However they can be got from 11953MHz, 27500Ks/s H.

I'm also getting Film4 and the +1's but I don't know if the transponder has changed in that instance.

Given the circumstances it feels like the box is at fault but when the other box is missing the stream channels too I can't tell. Especially now I'm hearing the box IS faulty. Really confused.

    Anyone have a similar experience.

The BBC streams changed frequency this is not a problem with the box, it simply has to be returned. That is the disadvantage of a generic fta box to that of a skybox or freesat box/

Well the Tevion won't let me input the new Transponder frequency for the streams. Is that normal? I know that channels do change frequency, my parents and family have been using FTA for years but they've always been able to just re-tune to the new channel frequencies.

Why wouldn't this box allow me to do this. Whenever I try and put in the new Stream frequency it brings up a message:
    Confirm

    This Transponder Existed!

I can't even tell if its asking me a question or making a statement. There is no prompt as to what it means or what I can do. Dead End. Is this part of the fault?

It means the transponder was already programmed into the box. It's not a new frequency, the streams were only moved there.

hi set up my freesat before xmas to a london post code, everything fine, but programmes were crap, would another area show better programmes, does this sound stupid ? help if you can and ty

Changing the post code will mainly only give you different ads and different local news. The only notable difference is using STV which sometimes offers other movies. EG tonight showing "Constantine" instead of "King Kong".
